Wainright’s Coast to Coast Cycle from Badger Adventures

Come and join us and cycle Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route Badger Adventure style. Taking in the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. Let us plan your trip and guide you along this alternative route resting at carefully sourced accommodation, where you’ll be fed and watered after each day of cycling through some of England’s most scenic surroundings.

This four day adventure starts with the customary act of dipping your rear wheel into the Irish Sea at St Bees before heading into the Lake District on the National Cycle Network route. The Lake District opens its doors to reveal an inspiring mountainous backdrop to your ride before you move towards the Yorkshire Dales. Here you will find a collection of river valleys amongst hills before finally cycling your way through the North York Moors which has one of the largest expanses of heather moorland in the UK. Your final destination is the historic quayside town of Whitby where Bram Stoker was inspired to write his famous book Dracula. You’ll have the chance to explore the maze of alleyways which lead to the sea where once again you can dip your wheel to conclude your adventure.

Your cycle guide will be riding alongside you whilst your luggage is being transferred to your accommodation. Our support vehicle will be travelling close by to assist should there be any mechanical issues. This trip has been tailored to allow time to enjoy the stunning scenery of these three National Parks, the routes have been designed to be quiet and rural where possible. It is tradition to sample good cake and coffee along the journey before resting your weary bodies at carefully selected accommodation where good hearty food will await.

If you require pick up and transfers to local public transport or pick up points, please don’t hesitate to ask.
