Offa’s Dyke Path

National Trail

Offa's Dyke

Come and Journey with Badger Adventures along The Offa’s Dyke is one of Britain’s most popular National Trail, 177 miles /285 ks, from Prestatyn in North Wales to Chepstow in the south, Offa’s Dyke Path, a 1200 year old frontier earthwork, (a DYKE,) built by King of Mercia, called Offa, to keep out the welsh Marauders, winds along the English Welsh border.

Through the whaleback ridges of the Clwydian hills, along canal paths and cattle drovers roads, along the banks of the meandering Severn and Wye Rivers and through the Shropshire hills and the Black Mountains.

The Offa’s Dyke goes right past some of Britain’s best kept secrets, from White Castle near Pandy to Monow Bridge, near Monmouth a 13th century fortified bridge.
