Annapurna Sanctuary guided trek from Badger Adventures

Kathmandu is your starting point. Spend the day exploring this energetic city splashed with a multitude of colour. Take in the smells from the street stalls, intermingle with vibrant locals or just take in everyday life of this a truly effervescent place.

Then the ultimate trekking experience begins, oozing with diverse local culture, spellbinding scenery and warm hospitality all encased by the overwhelming peaks of the Annapurna Range. Witness the untouched beauty of the Nepalese lowlands and then navigate through valleys, traditional villages passing rivers, waterfalls, and forests, whilst enjoying the magnificent views of nature, to reach where the moraines guard the entrance to the natural amphitheater. This arena allows you to be engrossed in the panoramic landscape that is simply mind blowing. You will be staying in local tea houses, best described as a rural guest house, scattered along the trail. Once Base Camp has been reached a two and half day trek follows back to Pokhara, Nepal’s second city, this is a perfect place to relax following your adventure and start planning your next Badger Adventure.

  1. The Annapurna Base Camp trek was simply just awesome. Chief Badger, the Trek Doc and the local guides and Sherpas (Bold Adventures) do everything to keep you sane, healthy and safe – all you have to do is put one foot in front of the other and keep going. Always there we very good advice whether kit needed in Kathmandu or how to prevent tummy troubles or AMS, You are cared for without being overly mothered.

It helped to have a great team of fellow adventures and even when the going got tough (unexpected snow and nepalese flat) we were there fore each other with the crew every present with encouragement, comradeship and advice.

I didn’t travel with the main body from the UK but came in from Canada, despite teh different travel arrangements Ritchie and Sonam (the local Guide) made sure I got to where I was going and that I was safe.

    Next trip… Everest Base Camp.
