Gold Duke of Edinburgh for School's

Training Day – Badger Adventures will visit your school to provide a route planning session for your D of E Gold practice expedition.  Food and kit sessions will also be provided.

Practice Expedition
DayTrek Description
1 Arrive into a Bunkhouse / YHA, where the intructors/supervisors will check the participants kit and food, and then out into the hills for a brush up on Navigation and Emergency Procedures. Route cards will be checked and the group kit distributed.
2/3/4 The participants will execute the routes that they have planned, with more training input from the intructors, eventually moving to remote supervision. At the end of day 4, the participants will walk back into a YHA/Bunkhouse and review the expedition with the instructor. Participants will clean the group kit before handing it back. Its then time for hot meal, a well earned shower and a good nights sleep.
5 This day is used to plan the qualifying routes onto maps and route cards, with the aid of our instructors, and finally entering all the data onto our electronic route card. Then its time to go home.
